They also come into operation where pipelines and fittings are to be set out with high pressures and highest temperatures. Our ring-joint gaskets have been proved as reliable gaskets in moments of temperature up to 1000° C and pressures up to 1300 bar. There are high requirements for both the gasket and the surface of the flanges in regards of accuracy of shape and the quality of the surface. In respect between flanges und gaskets the hardness is a very important aspect. Our product range includes the standard styles octagonal and oval as well as customer-made products. Ring-Joint Gasket Type R oval In case of the oval ring-joint gasket, the round surface of the gasket pushes against the trapeze shaped groove of the flanges. The pressure of the surface accumulates under proportionally due to the increase of the bolt force. Ring-Joint Gasket Type R octagonal The octagonal ring-joint gasket appears as a convex gasket. It offers a bigger contact and sealing surface. The result is better compared to the oval ring-joint gasket so it is more popular. The pressure of the surface accumulates proportionally due to the increase of the bolt force. Ring-Joint Gasket Type BX ( 20' 000 PSI) This gasket has a square loop cross-section with bevel edges. The diameter of this ring-joint gasket is slightly bigger as the diameter of the groove. In this way the gasket stays pressed and creates a higher sealing value. The balance hole is in accordance with the API. The pressure of the surface accumulates proportionally due to the increase of the bolt force. Ring-Joint Gasket Type RX ( 5' 000 PSI) This gasket has been developed for using by pressures of fluid and to increase the closeness. The bigger the inside pressure the stronger the side surface of the BX is pushing in the groove surface. The pressure of the surface accumulates proportionally due to the increase of the bolt force.
